Terms of Service

Plain-language terms for using EB Automate — the email-first AI assistant built for small business owners.

The short version: EB Automate helps you run AI automations from email and the web app. You pay $9/month, you own your content, AI outputs need your review, and we expect fair use. Questions? support@evalbox.ai.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of EB Automate(“EBA”, “the Service”) at evalbox.ai and related email addresses we provide. By creating an account, subscribing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you are using EBA on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

2. What EB Automate does

EBA is an email-first automation assistant for small businesses. You can send requests by email or through the dashboard, attach documents and photos, and receive AI-assisted replies, drafts, and reusable workflow templates.

Features may change as we improve the product. We will try to communicate meaningful changes that affect how you work day to day.

3. Your account & subscription

You need an account to use EBA. Keep your login credentials secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

EBA is offered as a subscription (currently $9/month, billed through Stripe). Prices may change with reasonable notice; continued use after a price change means you accept the new price.

You can cancel by emailing support@evalbox.ai. Cancellation stops future charges; access typically continues through the end of your current billing period unless we say otherwise.

Account settings (name, email, password, plan details) are not yet available in the dashboard — contact support for changes.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use EBA to:

  • Break the law or infringe someone else's rights
  • Send spam, malware, or abusive content
  • Attempt to probe, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service without permission
  • Process highly sensitive data you are not authorized to share (e.g. full payment card numbers, HIPAA-regulated health records) unless we explicitly support it in writing
  • Overload or disrupt the Service for other customers

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or pose a security or legal risk.

5. AI outputs — please review

EBA uses AI models to draft replies, parse attachments, summarize photos, and build automations. AI can be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before sending them to your customers, subs, or partners — especially bids, pricing, contracts, and outbound email drafts.

EBA is a productivity tool, not a lawyer, accountant, engineer, or licensed professional. Do not rely on it as a substitute for professional advice.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the emails, attachments, and other materials you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you — for example, storing an attachment, running document parsing, or indexing a request summary so a future thread can find prior work.

You represent that you have the rights to submit Your Content and that doing so does not violate anyone else's rights or agreements.

7. Email & inbound addresses

EBA may provide you with dedicated inbound email addresses (for example start+team@inbound.evalbox.ai). Email sent to those addresses is treated as an automation request for your workspace.

Do not share your private inbound token publicly. You are responsible for what gets sent to your EBA addresses.

8. Privacy & security

We handle your data to run the Service — including account info, thread history, attachments, and learning memory you choose to save. We use industry-standard providers (for example Vercel, Neon, Stripe, Resend) under their own terms.

We work to keep the Service secure, but no system is perfect. Use a strong password, contact support if you need to reset it, and review AI-generated outbound messages before they reach your customers.

9. Availability & changes

We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, third-party outages, or model limits may occasionally affect response times or features.

We may modify or discontinue features. If we materially discontinue the Service, we will provide reasonable notice when practicable.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EBA AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify EBA against claims arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms — including outbound emails or bids you approve and send.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
